Tell us about your background and the field you want to explore.
We share your profile with a suitable mentor, who talks with you before taking you on.
Weekly one-on-one sessions: guided reading, methods, analysis and writing.
A written research report and a final presentation, built on your own work.
Featured programs
Start from the geometry of curves and how curvature drives their motion. Read a classical paper with your mentor, fill in the steps the authors left out, and extend one idea into your own result.
Begin by breaking classical ciphers, then learn the number theory behind modern encryption, take apart RSA and digital signatures, and study how blockchains reach agreement without a central authority.
Use machine learning on well and seismic data to infer what lies underground, with applications in carbon storage, geothermal energy and groundwater.
Learn how CT and MRI form images, then use Python to filter and segment real medical images.
Start from how the immune system recognizes tumors, then explore vaccines and antigen design around a question you choose.
Download national data, apply growth models, and estimate long-run trends for the countries you choose.
We work with university faculty who enjoy guiding motivated young researchers. Mentoring is online, approximately one hour per week, and fits flexibly around your teaching obligations. Mentors are compensated per student.
