Program Background
Probability theory and statistics are an extremely important branch of mathematics that deals with chance and chance, and how to extract meaningful information from data.With the increasing application of engineering, physics, biology and data science, these two disciplines are rapidly becoming the foundation for understanding the world in which we live.At present, probability statistics theory into other fields of natural science trend is still developing, in the field of social science, especially in economics to study the optimal decision and the stable growth of the economy, a large number of probability statistics methods.
Program Description
This project will provide a introduction to world-class probability theory and statistics, include the basic concepts of probability distribution, expectations, independence, conditional expectations, Markov chains, maximum likelihood estimation, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. At the end of this project, students will submit their research report and show their results.
