Learn about the MIT Reactor’s design, research, safety features, and how it’s operated during this interactive live-narrated virtual tour.
Join one of the MIT Nuclear Reactor Lab’s operators on a video tour through the containment building that houses the MIT Reactor. Using footage taken at the facility in 2020, this tour makes the same stops as our in-person tours without a security clearance requirement.
Your tour guide will go over a few introductory slides before the start of the tour, no prior knowledge of nuclear is required or expected. The session will be about an hour long depending on the number of questions that get asked (we love questions!).
Registration will close one hour before the tour begins, please register in advance to receive the Zoom link to this virtual tour (there are multiple dates to choose from on the form). Open to the general public. This event will not be recorded.
